How do we rank AI sites?

Nobody buys their way up this board. Affiliate money keeps the lights on, sure, but it has never once nudged a product past the one sitting above it. What we score is the whole thing, start to finish. How good the output or the conversation actually feels. Whether it still feels that good on the tenth reply instead of the first. How much the free plan really lets you touch before the paywall taps you on the shoulder, how honest the pricing is, whether the interface makes sense or fights you the entire way. Polish counts. Consistency counts more.

Every product is judged against the job it is trying to do, not against the one next to it. A companion app and an image generator are not chasing the same thing, so we do not grade them as if they were. That is why the score sits beside a category and a “Best for” line: the number tells you how strong a product is, the label tells you what it is strong at. Two sites can score within a hair of each other and be built for completely different people.

The global board tips every category into one lineup, which is the fun part and the confusing part. Number one really is the sharpest thing we have reviewed — but it might be a roleplay platform on a day you came looking for a photo generator. So read down. The right pick for you is often a few rows lower, sitting quietly in the exact category you wanted.
